Kumericans to Celebrate Kumerica Independence Day on August 7, 2021


The Originators of Kumerica (Kumericans) has set August 7, 2021, to celebrate Kumerica Independence Day, the strength, and the vision of Kumerica.

The word Kumerica is made up of two words, thus, Kumasi and America – fused together making “Kumerica” Kumasi meanwhile is the capital city of Ashanti Region in Ghana.

According to those championing the term digitally, Kumerica is about living life like an American but residing in the Ashanti region.

The leader of the Kumericans, Black Rob speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based Angel Fm Drive hosted by Ike De Unpredictable said, Kumerica Independence Day celebration is to project Kumasi, the mission, and vision of Kumerica.

According to Black Rob “Our forefathers kept a record of an existing powerful Kingdom which is still so powerful and has a historical trend. The old generation gained their recognition through the arts and talents from the carvers to the war field soldiers through to those that poured libation and those that danced to grace the spiritual powers of our ancestors”.

Black Rob explained “The struggle to put our city on the map again as Okomfo Anokye did in the rise of our kingdom into the global visage for global attention and grow through global recognition and trends”

“We are going to celebrate the 1 year anniversary (Kumerica Independence Day) in a grand style on August 7, 2021. On August 7, 2020, our city Kumasi was made to trend globally and people seemed to be making a mockery out of the photo but through the resilient spirit of people from our city, the mockery was turned into a bakery” he added
