A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Emmanuel Effah has sent a word caution to all government appointees ahead of the 2020 general elections.

He said their actions, if not taken into careful considerations may affect the party’s electoral fortunes, adding: ” The chance given you to serve was/is a privilege and it’s time to give back the little you have to support the base of the party (grassroots). Even if you are snobbish, impatient or you have never contributed a penny to support the party in any way, this is the time and hour to be kind and smart.”

Read write up below:

Your actions, posture, approach, support and contributions from this period till elections are held can/will affect the fortunes of the party going into this election.

The chance given you to serve was/is a privilege and it’s time to give back the little you have to support the base of the party (grassroots). Even if you are snobbish, impatient or you have never contributed a penny to support the party in any way, this is the time and hour to be kind and smart.

Always remember that your appointment of today solely depends on the continuous existence of the party in power. You won’t have this privilege or opportunity with the party in opposition.

It’s time to engage party folks, be receptive, give them ears and let your contributions to your constituencies and active voluntary groups flow, and provide the opportunities for individuals within the party to also lend their support in any way they can.
