Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, has been directed by President Akufo-Addo to immediately suspend a directive to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation to shut down three of its Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) channels.
Eugene Arhin, the director of communication at the presidency, in a statement said the president’s decision is to allow “further consultation with stakeholders.”
Meanwhile, the National Media Commission (NMC) has said the Communication Minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, is undermining the constitutional rights of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation by ordering the broadcaster to shut down three of its Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) channels.
