The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has set June 20, 2020 as the new date for conducting the party’s internal primaries.
General Secretary of the party, John Boadu announced at the end of a National Executive Council (NEC) meeting that the primaries will be held nationwide to elect Parliamentary Candidates across the country.
The NPP was compelled to postpone this exercise following the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease in March.
Following the easing of the ban on social gathering, the NPP has decided to go ahead with the primaries.
John Boadu who briefed the media said the party will soon come out with guidelines on the conduct of the primaries.
