Stop playing politics with COVID-19 – National Peace Council chair warns Politicians


Chairman of the National Peace Council (NPC), Most Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Asante has warned Ghanaians to desist from playing games with the deadly Coronavirus disease noting that the pandemic is real.

The Minister of God said it is time Ghanaians stop playing with the deadly virus as accordng to him the disease is real.

Speaking on Dadi FM monitored by, he said:

“Ghanaians should abide by the directives by the Ministry of Health concerning the coronavirus to reduce the numbers of confirmed cases. The cases keep escalating as the day goes by and some Ghanaians think it’s a joke. People are dying, so it’s about time we keep our heads up and help the fight of the deadly disease” he warned.

He added that prayer alone cannot help to battle the disease but rather adhering to the directives and also asking for God’s intervention in this bad situation.

Most Rev. Emmanuel Asante charged political parties to stop politicizing the disease and asked them to come together as one people to help combat the pandemic.
