Only a competent CEO can return Kotoko to its glory days – Ponkoh

The current leadership of Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been under serious criticism with increasing pressure piling from all angles following a recent spate of payments as well as performance from the team.

These has led respected personalities in the Kotoko fraternity such as Ex president of Ghana, John Agyekum Kuffour urging the life patron of the club, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to take a second look at leaders steering the affairs of the club.

Former board chairman, Afrifa Yamoah Ponko has categorically supported ex-President John Agyekum Kuffour’s stance on Asante Kotoko stating that, the club need competence leadership to return the club to its glory days.

The ex-board chairman in an interview with King Kannija on Angel TV said the Porcupine Warriors needs ideological leaders who possess more competency to guide the club to the promised land.

“I totally support ex-President Kuffour’s plea to Otumfuo. Kotoko needs competency in leadership. Going forward there should be people who have more respect and ideas for the Kotoko brand,” Yamoah Ponko admonished.
