Former Ghanaian international, Nii Odartey Lamptey has revealed that his lack of education greatly affected his career as a professional player.
The ex-Anderlecht playmaker Nii Odartey noted that had it not been the low level of his educational background, he would have been thousands times better than he was during the peak of his career.
Speaking on Angel Sports Live on Angel TV, the ex-Black Stars midfielder explained that his lack of education affected him particularly when it came to the signing of contracts.
“My educational level affected me greatly in my career as a footballer. I signed most contracts without even knowing the implications of it on my career…,” he told Kannija on Angel TV.
Nii Odartey Lamptey who had stints with PSV Einhoevin and Aston Villa further noted that he was made to play for many teams due to his educational level.
“They made me play in so many teams but if I knew I would just have played in some one of two clubs,” he opined.
The Glow Lamp Soccer Academy Owner during his hale days played for Asante Kotoko, Jomo Cosmos, Al-Nasr Dubai, Shandong Luneng, Greuther Furth, Uniao Leiria, Union Santa Fe, Venezia, Coventry City, Aston Villa, Ankaragucu, PVS and Anderlecht.
