FIFA Medical Committee Chairman, Michel D’Hooghe admonished resumption of football somewhere in September.

According to Darling Paul of Kumasi-based Angel FM, the 2019/20 GPL would be cancelled as a result of the novel COVID-19.

A source at the GFA revealed that the league could be cancelled as part of measures to stop the spread of COVID-19 in Ghana.

The FA source further said that the no team will be relegated nor promoted.

“The Ghana Football Association will pick out teams to represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League and Confederation cup for the subsequent season…,” the source who pleaded anonymity said further.

The source continued that the GFA is yet to reach a consensus on how to declare the season null and void without any winner of the 2019/20 Startimes Premier League.
