The Greater Accra Regional Security Council (REGSEC) have said that the wearing of face masks is now compulsory in Accra.
The Regional Minister, Ishmael Ashittey in a release copied to Angelfmonlinegh.com said persons entering all public transports and public places must be in their masks.
The directive forms part of the means of enforcing government’s directives on social distancing and other measures put in place to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease in the country.
“Notices of ‘No Face Mask, No Entry’ should be visibly displayed at vantage points including offices, lorry stations, shops, markets, malls, banks, pharmacies among others,” the statement said.
The statement further mentioned that the council is creating several satellite markets as part of the means of ensuring social distancing at market centres.
