CAF and GFA Medical Committee Member, Dr Prince Pamboe has called for the cancellation of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League.

According to Dr Pamboe, the GFA must adhere to what FIFA president, Gianni Infantino said in their last conference stating that there must be a hundred per cent clearance from every government and its health ministry before any league can resume.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Saddick Adams on Angel FM Accra, Dr Pamboe said before the league can resume every single registered player and all officials would have to be tested for the disease.

According to the Doctor, the GFA needs not rush to resume the league but should ensure certain measures are put in place to prepare for the new season.

He also advised that the league could continue only if there is a vaccine.

Reacting to the GFA playing games behind closed doors, Dr Pamboe said Ghana Premier League clubs do not have the needed funds to accept playing all the remaining games behind closed doors since all clubs depend mostly on gate proceeds to survive.

Dr Prince Pamboe stressed that the GFA must listen to the advise of FIFA not to rush in restarting the league until there is absolute clearance by WHO and health officials of the said country.
