As the fight against COVID-19 intensifies nationwide, many private businessmen are donating all forms of items to help fight the virus.
One of such business person is Dr. Kwaku Oteng, Founder and President of Angel Group of Companies.
On Wednesday, April 8, 2020, President Akufo-Addo received a thousand and fifty bottles of Adonko Hand Sanitizer at the Jubilee House.
Receiving the items on behalf of the President, Chief of Staff, Madam Frema Opare expressed gratitude to Dr. Oteng for supporting government’s fight.
“I want you to know that the President is grateful to you and other private people who are also doing their best to support. We shall overcome, win this fight together and indeed like the president keep saying, this too shall pass,” she said.
The Chief of Staff further added that ‘the seriousness you attach to the President’s call for support is overwhelming.”
Mr Samuel Kofi Acheampong, Chief Executive Officer(CEO), Angel Broadcasting Network, Ghana who led the team said Dr Kwaku Oteng felt the need to respond to government’c all for help in fighting the COVID-19.
“We’re here today because of the President’s request to have indigenous entrepreneurs and stakeholders produce locally developed hand sanitizers. The interest of Adonko Company Limited is to help avoid the spread of the pandemic by applying precautionary measures,” he said.
He noted that the sanitizers when put to use would help curb the possible spread of the deadly virus.
The Adonko team also included the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwabre East, Francisca Oteng Mensah and Kwadwo Dickson who is the General Manager of Angel FM, Accra.
