The Management of Accra Hearts of Oak has refuted reports that the club has appointed Serbian, Svetislav Tenasijevic as the new head coach of the team.
The Phobians have been without a substantive coach since the club parted ways with Kim Grant after the first week of the suspended Ghana Premier League.
Assistant Coach, Edward Nii Odoom who took charge after sacking Kim Grant, has persistently called on the management of the club to make him the substantive coach.
According to Ghanasoccernet, the Serbian tactician stated on Thursday that he has been contacted by a top board member of Hearts of Oak to take up the coaching rein.
According to the former AshantiGold SC trainer, he will take over the job after the coronavirus outbreak is over.
However, a grapevine source has swiftly refuted Tenasijevic’s claims.
“The claims of the coach is not true as no one from the club has appointed or contacted him over any position at the club,” the club’s source told the website.
