COVID-19: President Akufo-Addo tests negative


Medical Doctor at the Flagstaff House, Dr. Priscilla Teyi Ankrah has revealed that President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has tested negative for Coronavirus.

The test was conducted after the President had announced the directive for all persons who arrived in the country after March 3 to undergo mandatory testing.

Speaking at the Ministry of Information’s press briefing on Wednesday 1st April, 2020, Dr. Priscilla Teyi Ankrah said, “all staff on both the Third and Fourth floors at Jubilee House were tested and the results turned out to be negative.”

“Those who were tested are Akosua Frema Opare-Osei, Chief of Staff; Nana Bediatuo Asante, Executive Secretary to the President; Francis Asenso Boakye, Samuel Abu Jinapor, both Deputy Chiefs of Staff; Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at Jubilee House; the President’s Aide de Camp (ADC) and Saratu Atta, Personal Assistant to the President.
