COVID-19: Akufo-Addo locks down Accra Kumasi for two weeks

Ghana’s President, Nana Akufo-Addo has imposed a lock down on three vibrant cities in the country as part of measures to contain the spread of the deadly coronavirus epidemic.

The President made this announcement during a late night broadcast to the country on Friday.

The lock down will take place from Monday, 30th March, 2020 at 1:00am.

This is subject to review.

He did that through the imposition of restrictions act, 2020.

Ghana has so far recorded 137 cases of the deadly COVID-19 disease in the country.

The following are the areas put under lock down:
