Kumasi Asante Kotoko have submitted the details of Sogne Yacouba to the UK Embassy to help secure a UK VISA for the striker so he can be part of the squad for the London clash against Hearts of Oak in April this year.
Yacouba, who has caused a greater pandemonium around coach Maxwell Konadu’s side due to his unwillingness to put pen on paper in commitment to Kotoko, has since been seen by some cross-section of Kotoko supporters as a “traitor” and ‘fleet-footed’.
The Burkinabe International gatecrashed Asante Kotoko’s squad at the beginning of the season.
Receiving plaudits for his early encouraging signs at the start of the Ghanaian Premier League season this puts Yacouba and the Kotoko supporters in honeymoon, but the harmony was short-lived when he decided not to append his signature to a contract put before him.
He has since been frozen out of action under Head Coach Maxwell Konadu, who to some extent is acting on the decision of his management.
Hearts of Oak will play host to Asante Kotoko at the Barnet Stadium, in London on 11th April, 2020 as part of events to commemorate Ghana’s 63rd Anniversary Celebrations.
Meanwhile, a media launch ahead of the game will be held today in London.
