Ex-Hearts skipper, Mahatma Otoo, dedicates goal to late mum


Former skipper of Accra Hearts Of Oak, Mahatma Otoo was on target as his side, Balikesirspor held Adanaspor to a 1-1 draw away from home over the weekend.

The ex-Sporting Miren and Sogndal goal poacher shot his outfit into the lead in the 39th minute of the game after he was assisted by team mate, Serdar Guncu.

The home side, Adanaspor responded to restore parity in second department of the game through midfielder, Hakim Cinemre.

The draw puts Balikesirspor on the 10th position with 34 points after 26 matches.

Mahatma who wept during his goal celebration in the game took to Twitter to dedicate the goal to his late mother who died last Wednesday.

“I dedicate today’s goal to my mum, May Her Soul Rest In Peace. 🙏🏾🤲🏾Red heartCrying face” he tweeted.

Madam Love Habibatu Ankrah, 55 died on Wednesday 4th March at the Trust Hospital in Osu.

Madam Ankrah who is affectionately called “Mama Love”, was rushed to the Dansoman polyclinic around 1:00am on Wednesday after complaining of illness only to pass on at the Trust Hospital at OSU where she was transferred following her critical condition.

Late Habibatu Ankrah left behind 3 children including Mahatma Otoo.
