Fearless Broadcaster and Reggae musician, Blakk Rasta born Abubakar Ahmed has described New Patriotic Party (NPP) firebrand Kennedy Agyapong as a selfish and greedy politician who wants everything to himself alone.
He observed that the Assin Central lawmaker is always quick to criticize others who have been given contracts under the current regime while he complains that he who contributed enormously towards the gains of the party has been denied same.
Speaking on his ‘Taxi Driver’ show on Zylofon Fm, he wondered why Kennedy Agyapong will always put up such a behavior observing that it smacks of greed and selfishness.
“Kennedy Agyapong prides himself in the fact that he is an MP who cares about his people. He prides himself in the fact that he will speak the truth at the peril of his life. I admire Kennedy Agyapong a lot but sometimes there are the rough edges that requires smoothing. Kennedy Agyapong has sometimes spoken against his own party with the latest being his criticism of the President being a ‘tree without roots’
Blakk Rasta added “What I have observed is that it looks like Kennedy Agyapong is a man who wants to eat alone, it looks like Kennedy Agyapong is a man who is greedy and selfish. Kennedy Agyapong has said time and again how his party gives contracts to people more than he himself. He has said it severally how he could have been a minister of state but he decided to choose somebody a minister in his place so he Kennedy Agyapong can be a free business persons”.
According to him, the maverick politician has openly spoken against his party over how nonparty members are getting contracts from government but he does not get much.
“At a point it was believed that Kennedy Agyapong bankrolled the NPP. He believed that as a former bankroller of the party once the NPP is in power, he should have the majority of the contracts. The latest is questioning when Ekow Ewusi joined the NPP. Every now and then, he complains of not getting contracts. Anytime he speaks I see to nothing but greed and selfishness” he said.
He advised the lawmaker to be careful with his recent conduct or risked being consumed by his greed and selfishness which is becoming glaring.
