The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has filed his nomination forms to contest the flagbearer slot of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2020 elections.
The President stormed the party’s headquarters on Thursday to submit the forms after presenting the 2020 State of the Nations Address in Parliament.
The form was received by the National Chairman of the party, Freddie Blay and the General Secretary, John Boadu.
President Akufo-Addo is the only person who picked presidential nomination forms to contest the 2020 Presidential elections on the ticket of the NPP.
With today being the last day for the submission of the forms, the President had no choice than to file at the party’s headquarters.
Delegates of the NPP around the country will have to vote to endorse the candidature of Nana Akufo-Addo during the party’s primaries.
