Kofi Nti has described as false claims that late legendary highlife musician, Kofi B died after being poisoned.
According to musician who drove the late highlife legend to hospital, his colleague was not poisoned to death as has been rumoured.
“He complained to me of a heart attack and that is what I know for now that killed him and not poison as its been rumoured…,” he told DJ Ohemaa Woyeje on Angel 102.9FM’s Y’Adwuma Nie.
Kofi Nti further called on Ghanaians to stop circulating the false news as according to him, the late musician died of heart attack.
“We should please stop circulating such rumours because it is not the best…he was not poisoned…,” he added.
The Bantama Kofi Boakye hitmaker died on 2nd February, 2020 in Cape Coast after he complained of a heart attack.
According to him, the two were booked for a birthday bash for a chief at Abaase Domenase on Sunday February 2.
He explained that they lodged in a hotel in the town ready to play the show only for Kofi B to bang on his door around 2:30 am that he was not feeling too good.
“I was still sleeping until I heard a big knock again that he couldn’t help it so I woke up and rushed him to a nearby hospital in his own car that we drove in together to this place.
“When we got to the hospital, I had to carry him to see the doctor but I was told he died before we got to the hospital.
