The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has suspended Ghanaian boxer, Patrick Allotey for six months for assaulting a football fan at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The WBO Africa Super Welterweight champion was captured in a video brutalizing a football fan believed to be Asante Kotoko supporter during the super clash between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko in Accra some weeks ago.
In the said video, Patrick Allotey was seen ordering the football fan to stop celebrating a goal in front of him but the fan refused to comply with Allotey’s instructions resulting in a scuffle which saw the victim been technically knockdown with cuts on his face.
Following this, the GBA rubbished the boxer’s behavior and described it as unacceptable and unprofessional.
The Association has subsequently banned him for six months.
