A national communication team member for the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Joseph Yamin has explained that the Airbus scandal against the party flag bearer is much ado about nothing.
According to him, the NPP government out of desperation is making ‘so much noise’ over the airbus bribery saga which he believes will ‘go nowhere’.
Yamin in an interview with angelfmonlinegh.com accused government of covering up numerous scandals under their watch.
“NPP is busily covering up the excavators and tricycle scandals with this dead airbus saga. The party don’t sell in the news except it’s about NDC. Anytime you see their story go far is when they accuse the NDC and meddle the party in unnecessary scandals. Let me tell you, this airbus saga will go nowhere; the issue is dead on arrival and they know it”.
“They are only making noise because they want to heard and remain relevant in the system. Aside from that, they have no story to tell. Simple!” he said.
Former Attorney General and Minister of Justice under former President Mahama, Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong, has denied in a statement on Sunday that officials of Airbus paid or attempted to pay bribes in exchange for contracts.
President Akufo-Addo has tasked the Special Prosecutor to conduct an inquiry into the Ghanaian public officials cited in the scandal.
