Former Energy Minister, Boakye Agyarko, has shot down claims by certain media houses that he was prevented from picking Presidential nomination forms to contest the sitting President, Nana Akufo-Addo.
Reports that made rounds on some traditional and social media indicated that the man who was kicked out of the government has been nursing Presidential ambitions and wanted to use this opportunity to contest his former Boss.
The reports continued that he was however denied the opportunity to by some ‘powerful’ individuals in the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The reports emerged after the sitting President picked nomination forms to re-contest as the NPP’s Presidential Candidate for 2020 elections.
“It is not true…,” Mr Boakye Agyarko reportedly replied to a WhatsApp sent to his phone.
Mr Boakye Agyarko has remained a local politician after losing his post in the government.
