Former Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah, has revealed that the Ghana Football Association owes him a six-month salary.

The 59-year-old was shown the exit by the country’s football governing after seeing out his two-year deal in December 31.

Despite his exit, the Ghana FA are yet to settle the former Al Khartoum manager’s six-month salary.

“When you are working and the people in charge are not telling you anything, it obviously means that they want you out of the job,” he told Nhyira FM.

“The FA owes me six months’ salary. I am not bothered but I only hope that they will pay me,” he added.

CK Akunnor has been named as Kwesi Appiah’s replacement for the next two years.

Kwesi Appiah was paid $35,000 a month as the Black Stars coach.

Reports say the Sudan Football Association have held talks with Kwesi Appiah over a possible takeover of the Sudan national team.

Appiah’s last job came when he led Ghana to beat South Africa and Sao Tome in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in November.

The sum total of the six month salary will amount to $210,000.00.
