Dancehall artiste, Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda, known in music circles as Mzvee, has revealed that her absence from the music scene in recent times was as a result of the depression which she suffered in life last year and not due to pregnancy as was rumoured.
The dancehall sensation has been out of the music scene for about a year now with many attributing her absence to a ‘fake’ pregnancy and her departure from Lynx Entertainment as well.
Reacting to this on Angel 102.9FM’s Y’Adwuma Nie hosted by DJ Ohemaa Woyeje, her departure from Lynx Entertainment never affected her.
“I unfollowed plenty people on Instagram, and my myself I didn’t want to know what was happening to me…,” she said.
According to her, she was hospitalised as a result and could only confide in a ‘small number of people’ about her problem.
This, she said included her mother who has made her to have a different understanding of life.
She added that rumours that she was pregnant even surprised her insisting that she has never been pregnant.
To her, the pregnancy rumours shocked her and it was for that reason that she came out publicly to deny carrying a baby.
MzVee, who claimed she is now out of the depression advised her fans and other Ghanaians to always seek help whenever they discover they are about suffering depression.
