Stop-gap Hearts of Oak coach, Edward Nii Odoom has asked to be made a substantive coach of the side to be able to implement his own ideas and reverse the downward spiral.
The Phobians were given a baptism of fire by Medeama SC, thrashing them by 3-0 at the Tarkwa Akoon Park on Sunday but Odoom insists he deserves the Hearts job on a permanent basis.
Speaking to the media after their 3-0 defeat to Medeama SC at Akoon Park, Nii Odoom said:
“I want Hearts of Oak coaching job on full time basis”
“With my 30 years experience in coaching I am fit to be the full time coach”
Odoom who got baptized in his first match as interim manager by 3-0 against Medeama on Sunday afternoon also noted that there are lapses with his midfield which he will need some additions to get going in the ongoing 2019/20 Ghana premier league campaign.
“We will need 2-3 midfielders to upgrade the team” says Nii Odoom Interim Manager of Accra Hearts Of Oak.
Medeama SC who played in front of full packed stadium at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa for the first time after moving from the T&A Park made sure Prince Opoku Agyemang’s 3rd minute spot kick and a superb finish in the 31st minutes respectively in addition to Nana Kofi Babil’s 74th minutes strike was enough to pinned the Phobians to the sword.
