Local Coaches manage Black Stars better than expatriates – One Man Supporter

President of the Ghana Supporters Union (GHANSU), Mr Abraham Boakye has called on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) not to consider the appointment of a foreign manager to steer the affairs of the senior national football team.

One Man supporter as he is popularly known in football circles made this remarks publicly during an exclusive interview with Saddick Adams on Accra 102.9FM’s Floodlights Sports Show on Thursday.

The comment of One Man Supporter was in reaction to a release by the GFA on Thursday 2nd of January, 2020 confirming Black Stars coach James Akwasi Appiah had been relieved of his position. The Black Stars Management Committee was also dissolved.

Following this development, the GHANSU President cautioned the GFA not to replace Kwesi Appiah with any expatriate manager for the Black Stars of Ghana.

“We don’t need any foreign coach following the dissolution of the Black Stars technical team,” Mr Abraham Boakye said.
