FIFA Ranking: Black Stars maintain 47th position on FIFA World Ranking

Ghana National team, Black Stars has retained its position as the 47th best national team in the world and the 6th best on the African continent.

According to FIFA’s website, Ghana accumulated 1439 points same as they recorded in November which made them moved four upwards to that of the October’s 1426 points.

The ranking still helped the team remained in the 6th spot on the continent behind Senegal, Tunisia, Nigeria, Algeria and Morocco.

The wins over South Africa and São Tomé and Príncipe in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifications contributed to a rise in October’s global rankings from 51st to the 47th place.

With no football until 2020, Ghana retains its 47th spot in the December and final rankings for the year.

On the global scene, Belgium remains top for the second successive time after a record-breaking year for the global ladder.

The next FIFA Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published next year, February 2020.
