The last batch of the 275 ambulances the New Patriotic Party (NPP) promised during the 2016 elections have arrived at the country’s ports, Angelfmonlinegh.com can report.
The Ambulances are already branded in the national colours with the supervising ministry’s name, Ministry for Special Development Initiatives embossed on them.
The President during his encounter with the press last week promised to distribute the Ambulances after taking delivery of the full consignment.
“The Minister for Special Development Initiative told me some of the ambulances were in and asked if she should distribute them and I said NO; she shouldn’t. She should wait for the others to come in so that we can distribute all at the same time”, he had said.
Tracking devices, this website gathered further will have to be fitted on the fully furnished Ambulances before they are handed over to the National Ambulance Service.
Supporters of the government have since taken to social media to thank the President for fulfilling a campaign promise of ensuring that each constituency gets an Ambulance.
