ABN Presenter’s supporters support Orphanage School Project with 50 bags of Cement


The Katahs, a Non-Governmental Organization that helps deprived and needy has donated twenty (20) bags of cement to Cherubs Education Centre at Santasi-Apire in the Nhyiaeso Constituency of the Ashanti region.

Cherubs education centre is a school of the orphans with the aim of training orphans with skills.

The Katahs is an association formed by the supporters of ABN Ghana presenter, Ekow Mankatah affectionately known as Mr. Katah.

The President of the Association, Kwabena Adu known as K. Adu Gas Oven speaking in an interview with Pure FM’s Osei Kwadwo Ambassador mentioned that the objective of the association is to support the needy especially Orphanage homes and prisons.

According to K. Adu the aim of donating 50 bags of cement to the school is to support the school to complete the ongoing classroom project.

“We visited the school before the donation. We realized that the school is in need of classroom and accommodation. We decided to support the school with some bags of cement.

“We (The Katas) embrace the concept of supporting less privileged, orphans and inmates. It is a commitment we have made over a period of time and we have no intention of bringing it to an end,” he said.

The administrator of Cherubs Education Centre Bernard Osei Bonsu who received thanked members of The Katahs for the kind gesture.

According to the administrator, inadequate of classroom is affecting teaching and learning in the school.

He appealed to the general public to come to the aid of the orphanage by supporting them since the orphanage is in dire need of cement to complete a dormitory and classroom which are currently under construction.
