Clad in different colours and outfits, thousands of people from all walks of life walked side by side with several staff of the growing media conglomerate, Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN) to keep fit.
The participants of the maiden edition of Angel Health Walk (AHW19) who are listeners of Angel 102.9FM joined the teaming participants from various points along their route from Angel FM office in Nyamekye Junction in Abeka Lapaz to the West Hills Mall.
The participants which ranged from the young to the aged joined various keep fit clubs and jama groups to sing happily during the journey.
Ecstatic listeners of the station cheered them along the route, cheering and shouting ‘Abofour mpo tie’ from various vehicles that were driving towards Kasoa and other parts of the Central Region.
Fans of seasoned presenters of the station grouped under the banners of the presenters to show support for their idols.
While Kwadwo Dickson who is also the General Manager of the station teamed up with Piesie Kyenkyenhene, Akua Adepa and all staff from the newsroom to rally behind the news team banner, Saddick Adams rallied the sports lovers to cheer on notable voices on radio such as Hon SK, Kofi Jerry, Isaac Apagya, Yaw Adonko and other staff to walk to keep fit.
Celebrated female presenter, DJ Ohemaa Woyeje and the Y’Adwuma Nie team were also on hand to rally participants behind the mid-morning show brand.
Interestingly, the numbers increased significantly as the team reached the final destination which is the West Hills Mall.
Participants were taken through various aerobics upon arrival at the venue; the station also carried all of its programmes live from the busy mall.
