ABN wins Media Group of the Year award at Hyperlink Media Awards


Emerging Media brand, Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN) won the prestigious media group of the year award at the 2019 Hyperlink Media Awards held over the weekend.

ABN which has over 19 media houses dotted around the entire country has been the leading broadcaster in the country for years now.

ABN currently comprises of Angel FM, Accra; Angel FM and Pure FM in Kumasi; Angel FM and Cheers FM in Sunyani; OFm in Obuasi and Angel FM in Takoradi.

Others include Cheers Fm in Takoradi; Darling FM in Cape Coast; K FM in Techiman; Angel FM in Bolgatanga, Angel FM in Tamale and Taste FM in Koforidua, Angel FM in Ho and Cheers FM in Drobo.

ABN which is owned by businessman, Dr Kwaku Oteng also owns the Digital TV station of the year, Angel TV and two vibrant websites, Angelfmonlinegh.com and Mypurefmonline.com.

Stations belonging to ABN air very educative, informative and entertaining programmes which are patronized by numerous listeners, viewers and readers across the globe.

These programmes were also highly recongised at the event as the most listened to sports programme in the Ashanti Region and beyond, Angel Sports aired on Angel FM, Kumasi was adjudged the Sports Station of the year.

The main anchor for the programme, Michael Darko, also known as Summer was also adjudged the Sport Personality of the year at the same event.

It is in the light of this the group was recognized for playing exceptional role in the media landscape in the country and helping develop the industry at the Hyperlink Media Awards.
