FIFA Ranking: Black Stars jump to 47th position in latest polls

Ghana has moved up by four spot from 51st to 47th position in the latest FIFA ranking for November released on Thursday.

In the latest ranking published on the website of the world’s football governing body, FIFA, saw Ghana accumulate 1439 points in this Month [November] ranking as against 1426 recorded last month.

However, successive wins by the Black Stars over South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe in the 2021 African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers catapulted the team to the 47th position.

On the African continent, Ghana still occupies the six position behind leaders Senegal, Tunisia, Nigeria, Algeria and Morocco.

The four time AFCON Winner who lead Group C in the ongoing 2021 AFCON qualifying series will return to action fully in March 2020.

On the global scene, the top five teams remain unchanged with Belgium retaining the No.1 spot while World Cup finalist, Croatia moved up by one spot to 6th position at the expense of Portugal who dropped to 7th.

Meanwhile, former world cup champions Spain and Argentina complete the top 10 spot along side Colombia.
