The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai and the Western North Regional Minister, Mr. Kingsley Aboagye Gyedu has donated 10 sets of computers to the Bibiani Community Information Centre and 11 motorbikes to Bibiani Municipal Agric Directorate.
Speaking in an interview with the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr. Alfred Amoah who accompanied the Minister said they presented the items on behalf of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication (GIFEC) and District Centre for Agric and Technology (DCAT).
The beneficiaries were advised to let the items serve its purposes and not to use for personal activities.
He also called on the beneficiaries to halt the lukewarm behaviour of Ghanaians towards government properties.
Mr. Alfred Amoah also explained how the 11 motorbikes provided to the Bibiani Municipal Agric Directorate will enhance the activities of the extension officers to promote governments flagship programme, planting for food and jobs project.
“It’s going to help ease the burden of some farmers and the computers will add up the knowledge of the people on IT,” the MCE added.
Mr. Augustine Kwarteng, the Municipal Director of Agriculture on behalf of his staff thanked the MP and MCE for helping them get these computers.
He promised the MP and the Minister that the Assembly will take good care of the items for future generations.
