Stop exposing your ‘vital’ body parts on stage – Akosua Agyapong to female musicians

Ace female musician Akosua Agyapong has urged all female musicians to learn to dress well when performing on stage.

Speaking on Angel 102.9FM’s Mid-morning show, Y’Adwuma Nie hosted by DJ Ohemaa Woyeje, the musician said the over-developed taste for foreign culture over the years is the cause of the shabby dressing by female artistes.

Akosua Agyapong indicated that, dressing of these female musicians is very appalling and has a great impact on the people in the country especially the upcoming ones and there is the need for them to desist from foreign culture “fashion”.

“We are Ghanaians and we have our culture and ideologies but female musicians only want to seek attention from people to generate fan bases. But I urge them to dress appropriately and decently and it will also take them far,” she stressed.

Akosua Agyapong attributed her success in music partly to her ‘nice way of dressing’ compared to other contemporary Ghanaian showbiz industry.

“I’ll turn fifty (50) years on November 17, but I still look young in my cultural apparel, therefore female musicians should hold fast unto their culture and desist from foreign culture which has diverse impact on the society,” she added.
