Former Black Stars and Fulham defender, John Paintsil has confirmed that he has taken over as the coach of the premier league side, Wa All Stars.
The former Ghana international took over as owner of the Wa-based club after purchasing it from former president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Lawyer Kwesi Nyantakyi.
Rumours were ripe that the management of the club was intending to change the club’s name to Stallion FC.
Angelfmonlinegh.com can confirm that management has decided to maintain the name of the club due to the fact that the club participated in the Africa Inter-Club Competition after winning the Ghana Premier league in the 2015/16 season.
Speaking exclusive to Saddick Adams on Floodlight on Angel 102.9FM, Paintsil said; “we will maintain the name ‘Wa All-Stars’ because they are former champions of the league.
“We have moved from Wa to Accra but we are still looking for a venue as our home ground,” he noted.
Hearts of Oak decision to come up against Wa All Stars come Sunday November 17th at the Accra sports stadium in a club friendly has been pronounced by the club owner cum coach, John Paintsil as ‘thing of Joy.
