Boy, 19, jailed six months for stealing Laptop and Mobile Phone


The Bekwai Circuit Court presided over by his honour, Frederick Awula has sentenced a 19- year-old boy to six months imprisonment with hard labour for stealing.

Yaw Yeboah, the convict pleaded guilty when he was charged for stealing a Laptop and mobile phone [Infinix Hot 6].

According to prosecution, the complainant, Asiedu Kyeremeh who was at a church crusade at Edwanase, near Kokofu on May 3rd 2019 where the incident occurred.

The prosecution said the complainant, who doubles as youth leader for his church and an extension officer with Ministry of Agriculture traveled with his Sunday school kids to Edwenase and at around 10pm, the accused person managed to enter one room of the people attending the crusade to steal.

Unfortunately, after the accused person managed to steal a laptop and a mobile phone, he was arrested by the people and handed over to the police and upon interrogation; the accused admitted the offense and was arraigned before court for prosecution.

Yaw Yeboah pleaded guilty to the charge and and was sentenced to six months for stealing.
