U23 AFCON: Black Meteors lose to Egypt

Black Meteors coach Ibrahim Tanko made two changes to his starting line-up ahead of  this important clash against Egypt in the 2019 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations.

Simon Zibo made way for Emmanuel Lomotey and Samuel Obeng also stepped in for Issah Abass.

Captain Yaw Yeboah was retained in midfield with coach Tanko sticking with his defensive quartet tat started against Cameroon.

The Black Meteors needed a win in to boost their chances of making it to the semi finals stage.

Ghana scored the first goal through a master goal scorer, there was an equalizer in space of 15 minutes by the Egyptians, later in the second half there was a huge defensive error from the Egyptians which led to a second goal for Ghana but awful goalkeeping skill from Kwame Baah made the Egyptians equalize again and came back stronger to win the match in the 90th minute.

3 goals to 2 was the final score line against Ghana.

The chances for Ghana to qualify to the next stage is highly miracle.
