The Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta has said that an estimated 1.2 million Ghanaian children will benef from the government’s flagship programme, the Free Senior High School (SHS).
The policy which was introduced in 2017, the Minister during the presentation of the 2020 budget statement in Parliament on Wednesday said has been beneficial to many Ghanaian children.
Students at all classes in SHS are not paying fees as a result of the programme.
And 1.2 million students, he added, are currently benefiting from the policy.
“1.2 million are currently benefiting from free SHS programme…,” he said.
