Forget about rigging 2020 elections else… – Akandoh warns NPP

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Juaboso in the Western Region, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh has urged leading members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) not to attempt rigging the 2020 elections.

According to the MP, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will do all in their means to ensure that all votes that will be garnered by the NDC in the 2020 elections will be accounted for.

Speaking on Accra-based Power FM as monitored by, Akandoh claimed there were subtle attempts to rig the 2020 elections in favour of the then opposition, NPP.

He claimed that although people like him was able to stop the rigging in their constituencies, the NPP still managed to get away in some constituencies.

“In 2016, they attempted rigging the elections in my constituency but I never allowed that because myself and my wife were present in the strong room, we ensured that we won’t allow anyone to rig the polls…,” he claimed.

To him, there will never be a repeat of what transpired in the 2016 elections as according to him, the party is bent on winning maximum votes to form the next government.

“If the NPP has that plan to rig the polls in the 2020 elections, they should forget because no one will allow them…,” he said.
