Former head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Abdul Karim Zito has labelled current coach of the club, Kjetil Zachariasen as the worst trainer hired by the club in their history.
The Norwegian coach joined the Kumasi based club from it’s regional rivals, Obuasi-based Ashantigold SC amidst high hopes from the club supporters before their disastrous CAF Confederation Cup kickoff.
According to the outspoken veteran trainer, Zachariasen is the worst coach ever to be hired in the club’s history for this decade.
In an interview with Angel FM, Zito Said; “Kjetil Zachariasen is the worst coach Kotoko has hired during my playing days and after my playing days”
“Dr Kwame Kyei should do the honourable thing by insisting on sacking this coach,” Zito added.
He therefore stressed that, money alone cannot work to transform the club but needs management that understands the game.
Kairm Zito then advised the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the club, Dr Kyei to forget about preforming in Africa now, and take time to prepare the team and groom young players to understand the clubs philosophy.
