Black Meteors head coach, Ibrahim Tanko, has said that Cameroon stands no chance of overpowering his side in their Group A clash int the ongoing U-23 AFCON in Egypt.
The match will kickoff at 8:00 hrs GMT at the iconic Cairo International Stadium.
Cameroon who arrived in Egypt on November 2, 2019 have prepared adequately for the tournament with Legend, Rigobert Song leading the mantle as head coach.
However, Tanko does not believe that his opponents have advantage over his side based on their time of arrival and how well they may have acclimatized to the conditions in Egypt.
“I do not think Cameroon will have any advantages over us. We are all playing in the same stadium and at the same time. I believe my boys are ready for the match today.
“We have trained well and the Cameroonians themselves know what they will come up against, because we are ready for the match,” Coach Tanko stressed.
Ghana will take on Egypt on November 11 and Mali on November 14 after meeting Cameroon today.
The Meteors will need to progress from the group stages before qualifying for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics games for the first time since 2004.
