Black Meteors arrive in Cairo, Egypt ahead of U23 AFCON


The National u23 team, the Black Meteors of Ghana have arrived in Cairo, Egypt ahead of the U23 African Cup of Nation Championship.

Contingent made up of 19 players plus other team members left Accra on Monday afternoon will be joined later by Kwabena Owusu and Abbas Issah.

Ghana are in group A with host Egypt, Mali and Cameroon and will begin it campaign with Cameroon on Friday 8th November, 2019 at the Cairo International stadium.

Ibrahim Tanko’s men will be hoping to secure Ghana’s ticket to the Olympics for the first time since 2004.

The three best teams from the Tournament will be representing Africa in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. The competition starts from 8th to 22nd of November, 2019.
