NDC’s 2020 Manifesto will be tailor-made to address Ghanaians problems – Mahama

The 2020 flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has promised that the party’s 2020 Manifesto will a practical one which will seek to address the increasing problems of Ghanaians.

Addressing NDC supporters in London, John Mahama who is also a former President said the party tasked the Manifesto Committee to ensure that they tour the country and visit various opinion leaders and groups to ensure that they present solutions to problems facing Ghanaians.

The NDC 2020 Manifesto, he added, will be a document that will present Ghanaians with hope and ‘rescue’ them from the current hardships under the Akufo-Addo administration.

“I think that Ghanaians are more discerning now…after what we’ve all gone through, any politician who comes dangling promises before you, you’ll look at him twice…or, if any politician comes to you and says, Try me’, you’ll turn and run away,” the former said.

The NDC a fortnight ago inaugurated its Manifesto Committee tasking them to ensure that they present a Manifesto that will address the problems facing Ghanaians.

Members of the committee are Alex Mould, Prof GKT Oduro, Sabastian Deh, Napoleon Kpoh, Prof Kwaku Danso-Boafo, Opoku Kyeretwie, Michael Abbey, Spio Garbah, Prof Asiama, AGI Expert and Prof Nana Jane Opoku Agyeman.

Others are Harruna Iddrisu, Nana Oye Lithur, Benedict Lassey, Sam Pee Yalley, Prof John Gatsi, Dr. Johnson Asiama, Dr. Alhassan Yakubu, Dr. William Ahadzie, Goosie Tanoh and Peter Otokunor.

The former President further assured the NDC supporters that the committee will present solutions that will help the party accomplish its ‘rescue mission’.

“And, so, times are not easy but we want to give our people hope, we’re on a rescue mission: to rescue the fate of our people in their democracy and we are starting that with the manifesto we’ll present; it’ll be a very practical manifesto that incorporates their concerns and we’ll work together and communicate to Ghanaians every step of the way, the implementation of that manifesto,” he added.
