A 55-year old basic school teacher, Mr Isaac Kofi Yeboah has committed suicide at Kwesikum, a village near Agona Duakwa in the Agona East District of the Central Region.
The deceased was found hanging on a tree in his own farm on Tuesday around 13:00 hrs GMT.
The late Kofi Yeboah was a teacher at A.E.D.A Basic school at Agona Duakwa in the Agona East District.
Information gathered indicates that the deceased had left home as early as 6:00 HRS GMT on Monday to work on his farm which is located at Albert Village near Kwesikum but refused to return home same day.
According to neighbours of the deceased, several efforts to trace his whereabouts proved futile.
“Unfortunately when we got to the farm, we saw the dead body of Yeboah on a tree on his farm with a rope around,” the neighbours lamented.
The Agona Nyakrom District Police Commander, Superintendent Frederick Lumur who confirmed the incident to Angel News said the Police rushed to the scene following the complaints from the neighbours.
He said the body of the deceased has been conveyed and since deposited at the Agona Swedru Government Hospital Morgue awaiting autopsy.
