Veteran Musician, Akosua Agyapong has advised musicians to compose songs that will remain relevant years after their death.
Her advice, she said, is as a result of the fact that modern day musicians have not been composing songs with good lyrics despite having good rhythms.
“Write songs that will live on even after you are gone, don’t write songs that will dies even when you’re alive…,” she advised during an interview with DJ Ohemaa Woyeje on Angel 102.9fm’s mid-morning show, Y’Adwuma Nie.
Akosua who has been composing songs for the past thirty years noted that most songs played on air lately do not make positive impact because of the negative contents.
Most of the songs played on air, she noted, are profane and not educative enough for children who copy blindly.
She further chided some female musicians in the country for dressing provocatively anytime they go to perform.
