Reports reaching Angel News is that the Member of Parliament (MP) for Effiduase-Asokore constituency, Dr Nana Ayew Afriye allegedly slapped his District Chief Executive (DCE) for obstructing him ahead of President Akufo-Addo visit to the district.

According to Angel News reporter, the incident happened on Friday morning after the MP accused the DCE, Mary Boatemaa Marfo of sabotaging his efforts to give the President a befitting welcome to Effiduase in the Sekyere East District of the Ashanti region.

The MP and DCE have not been relating well for sometime now with reports indicating the two have been fighting one another.

The cold war between the two however turned violent when the two organised two separate durbars to welcome the President.

The DCE reportedly took away a vehicle that the MCE had booked to convey his supporters to go and welcome the President to the District.

The President is currently touring Ashanti Region and it’s expected in the Eastern Region on Saturday.
