Ghana giants, Asante Kotoko will face San Pedro of Ivory Coast in the Confederation Cup play-off. In a draw held at the Hilton Pyramids in Cairo, Egypt. Kotoko who lost on a 3-2 aggregate to Etoile du Sahel in the last round of qualifiers in the Champions League, still has the chance of competing for continental glory in CAF’s Second-Tier inter-club competition despite the disappointments in the Champions.
Kotoko advanced to the group stage of the Confederation Cup last season after beating Coton Sport of Cameroon 5-2 on aggregate under former coach, C.K Akonnor.
However, the Porcupine Warriors will be hoping to replicate their last season’s feet when they play the Ivorians in the two-leg play-off.Kotoko will host the Ivorians for the first leg scheduled for October 27th while the second leg will be played on November 3rd.
