The nine persons who were arrested in connection with the attempt to destabilise the country have officially been charged.
The nine were charged with conspiracy to commit treason, treason felony and possession of explosives, firearms and ammunition.
They are Dr. Fredrick Mac Palm, Col. Samuel Kojo Gameli, Geshong Akpa, WO2 Esther Doku, Lance Corporal Ali Solomon, Lance Corporal Albert Baba Ibrahim, Lance Corporal Sylvester Akapewu and Corporal Seidu Abubakar.
All nine had initially been charged with possession of fire arms, explosives and ammunition. The charge was however dropped in the case six.
Thus, Dr Frederick Mac Palm, Donya Kafui and Bright Alan Debrah are still standing trial in connection with the initial offense.
The nine, according to the state prosecutor are members of a non-profit, Take Action Ghana (TAG) and had plotted at various meetings to destabilise the country.
The prosecution said they were arrested at separate locations in the country.
Meanwhile, family members of the accused trooped to the court in their numbers in solidarity with the accused,
