GFA elections: Why Palmer’s appeal was rejected by the Appeal’s Committee

The appeal by one of the main contenders for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidency, Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer was rejected by the Appeal’s Committee of the FA.

Osei Palmer was disqualified by the Normalisation Committee’s Vetting Committee for breaching regulations on ethics and mandatory payments to the GFA in relation to player transfers.

According to the NC on Tuesday, Osei’s appeal was filed after the 4pm deadline and thus, was not received by the Committee.

These claims have been rejected by Osei’s camp saying that all documentation had been submitted as required and they were done so at the right time.

A letter from the Appeal’s Committee explaining the reason for his disqualification and addressed to Palmer have surfaced on social media.
