A staunch member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Obuasi West Constituency has officially resigned from the party after twenty-six years of ‘selfless’ service to the party.
Mr Mr. Solomon K.A Owusu wrote in his resignation letter sighted by Angelfmonlinegh.com, that the Akufo-Addo government’s failure to deal with acts of corruption is forcing him to leave the political party.
He said his constant demand for transparency, justice and accountability in the ruling NPP government has fallen on deaf ears.
Mr. Owusu continued that although he has resigned from the party, he will continue to criticize the NPP government on matters that negatively affect the ordinary Ghanaian.
Mr. Solomon Owusu said he has been a committed party member since 1993 from the Obuasi constituency and was also a Tertiary Education Students Confederacy (TESCON) executive between 2002- 2003 in his school days at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
He claimed to have played a key role in the organization of NPP programmes on campus and also served as the deputy secretary for California chapter from 2014 to 2018 and as a communications director for the party.
